While temperatures vary throughout the year depending on the season, it's important to bring winter clothing even during the summer if you plan to visit sites like the Tatio Geyser or Piedras Rojas, as temperatures can reach 0°C in these areas. This is also true at night when taking the astronomical tour, as these areas are open and have strong winds.
Activities can be booked up to 24 hours in advance, subject to availability. For special dates, such as holiday weekends, winter vacations, and the entire summer season, it is recommended to book well in advance of your visit, as park admission is limited and capacity is limited each day.
To cancel your reservation, please contact us via WhatsApp for faster service. You can cancel (with confirmation) up to 4 hours before the start of the activity for afternoon tours or 4 hours before the office closes (9:00 PM) for morning tours and opt for an 80% refund of the amount paid. After the indicated time, there will be no refunds, returns, or date changes.
Nuestra experiencia con Dunas Atacama fue excelente desde el primer momento. Rodri nos atendió con muchísima amabilidad y nos explicó en detalle los diferentes tours que ofrecían. Gracias a su asesoría, pudimos elegir la combinación perfecta de excursiones para aclimatarnos poco a poco a la altura, algo que valoramos muchísimo. Terminamos realizando siete tours con ellos, y en su mayoría los hicimos con guías propios de la agencia, quienes fueron siempre muy agradables y profesionales. Queremos destacar especialmente a Catalina y Johnny, quienes hicieron que cada salida fuera aún más especial con sus conocimientos y buena energía. Algo que también nos dio mucha tranquilidad es que, en caso de no haber suficiente gente para realizar algún tour, ellos mismos se encargaban de reubicarnos en otros grupos, asegurándose de que no perdiéramos ninguna experiencia. Los lugares que visitamos fueron espectaculares y nos llevamos recuerdos increíbles. Recomendamos 100% a Dunas Atacama para quien quiera disfrutar del desierto con seguridad, buena organización y calidez humana.
Melhor agência no Atacama. O Rodrigo é extremamente atencioso e consegue montar um roteiro incrível pensado para cada pessoa e o tempo que ela tem para os passeios. Com certeza eu não teria aproveitado tanto o Atacama se não fosse o roteiro que ele montou. Fiz praticamente todos os passeios disponíveis e não tive problema em nenhum deles. Como se não bastasse a atenção e atendimento excelentes o preço também é bastante atrativo em comparação com a maioria das agências da cidade.

Viajamos desde Uruguay con muchas ideas de tours a realizar. Rodrigo nos las ordeno y nos sugirió que era mejor hacer y cuando hacerlo para aclimatarnos. Hicimos tour astronómico, laguna cejar, valle arcoiris y géisers. Nos encantó, ahora volvimos de Bolivia y vamos por cerro del toco y valle de la luna. Mega recomendable y Rodri un genio.
Unbeatable experience, Duna Atacama was my one stop shop for all the tours in the area. Rodrigo and Juan Pablo were a dream team in the agency. Perfect English. Nata and Cata, the guides, super knowledgeable/funny/kind. Gabo the driver a great vibe too. There are loads of agencies here but tbh, make your life easier and go with Duna Atacama. Great prices and vibes all round. In my opinion, the Geyser tour is their hidden gem. Much more than just the stunning geysers. Flamingos, guanacos, llamas, scenery, delicious breakfast, a visit to Machuca (beautiful old rustic town in the high altitude desert hills). A must.
What a great experience. I do not usually like tours but this team of very likeable people go the extra mile to give you the best experience possible. A big shoutout to Rodrigo, without his sympathy and availability we would never buy it. He treated other guests very well too providing some clothing in preparation for some of the tours. And a big thanks for the availability and kindness of Catalina and Nata(lia), great guides spending extra time to show you wildlife and explaining all in english and spanish. Johnny was one of the best drivers, very experienced to cover the Andes segment with its tricky roads. We felt very safe.
